I too agree that it's soup season. I've made 3 batches of Hamburger Soup in the past month and one Lemon Orzo Chicken. Yummy. It's almost like a ritual to place my bowl in its handmade fabric bowl cozy, sit down and quietly enjoy the flavors.

Love the connection between soup and listening - never thought about how stirring forces that meditative state, but its totally true. The grocer tip is clutch too since farmers markets can get pricey in winter. I started batch cooking lentils last year and its a game-changer for weeknight dinners when I'm too tired to think strait. The ReciMe app sounds really usefull for scaling recipes.
