Listening To Our Inner Wise Woman
7 journal prompts for the wise woman road
I often talk about walking the Wise Woman's road. I thought that I’d share the following explanation by Judith Stafford, as it sums it up perfectly.
“The Wise Woman archetype can be found throughout many cultures and religions. She is often seen as a powerful, wise figure who can help and guide others.
If you look up the word wisdom, it means ‘someone who has the experience, knowledge and good judgement.’
I would also include the following as traits:
Being authentic and trusting your intuition
Learning from your mistakes
Independent and resourceful
Open to learning new things
Being non-judgemental as they are aware that they are not perfect
Wanting to work for the common good rather than self-interest
When times are difficult, choose the path of compassion and love instead of anger or resentment.
Whatever your definition of a wise woman is, she is someone we should all aspire and work to become.” Judith Stafford
As we walk this road and have been listening to the quiet this first half of the month, why don’t we take a few minutes to reflect? I’ve posted seven journal prompts below to help guide your thoughts.
Journal Prompts
What have I noticed most about listening to the quiet? Does it make me uncomfortable, or does the quiet calm me?
What little daily routine have I incorporated this month to embrace silence?
Visualize your inner wise woman. What does she look like? What energy is she giving off?
What am I doing when I am being my most authentic self?
When was the last time that I listened to my intuition?
What do I want to carry with me into February?
What can wait until Spring?
Next week, as we close out January and the process of listening to the quiet, I’ll pop on with a favorite recipe for a nourishing soup to warm us.
