Everything this season is almost a month ahead of typical! I’m in anticipation of our chive flowers blooming within the next week, so I thought I would share a great DIY recipe for Chive Flower Vinegar. Perfect for all of your summer salads and marinades.
Pick Chive Flowers, rinse them, and spin them in a salad spinner to get the extra moisture out. Then load them into quart canning jars, 2/3 of the way to the top. Then, I pour white wine vinegar over the top of them, turn them upside down once, and let them sit in a dark cool place for two weeks.
Virtually any garden item can be harvested and infused in vodka, olive oil, or vinegar. Â The possibilities are endless.....and delicious!!
Until Next Time,
